Calling ALL RI Hams!!!
Looking at the forums here on the website I see that a typical topic is viewed 300 times but only one or two people will post. If this website is to continue to be interesting we need you to participate. It's not hard at all. Got a question? A comment? Oh come on, I KNOW you do! So please take a moment and give something back. Let others know what you are doing... or not doing, and why. It only takes a few minutes of your time per month. There are now 85 members. If half of our members post once or twice a month it will make a HUGE difference. It also will make the forum moderators feel like they are doing something other than talking to themselves.

What do you say?

Re: Calling ALL RI Hams!!!
Hi Mark,

I just spent several minutes wandering through the forums and think they are a great resource. My problem is that over time I can forget to check in and see what's up. I added the site to my Favorites but it gets lost in there among dozens of other sites. So I've made a desktop shortcut. This will make it easier for me but I still need to remember to check in from time to time. I know Bob W1YRC has included the link in his monthly letter and maybe this practice could continue. Also maybe the default could be to always be notified of new posts on threads with an opt-out in each notification. Just a few thoughts.

Hi Jim,

You aren't the only one who forgets. It's something that we old timers are quick to blame for our bad habit of forgetting to check the site regularly.

As suggested however, I shall try to remember to mention our website and provide the link in my monthly Activity Report.

This is a valuable resource and it can serve many purposes but only if it's used.

Hi Mark,

Nice site. very well done. I will post things from time to time. Nice forum. Remember, being an ARES member by just being on a list is dull and unfufilling. Participate as best you can!

Thanks very much Bill. I appreciate your support. I would think someone of your experience and experiences should be able to get some good topics going. Don't be shy, jump in with two feet!
